Overview
Pokhara is Nepal's exhale. After the noise of Kathmandu, it feels almost too calm — a long, low town wrapped around a lake, with the Annapurnas hanging in the sky like a stage backdrop that someone forgot to take down.
You can trek from here, paraglide from here, or just take three days to do nothing in particular. Most people who plan to leave after two nights stay for five.
The rhythm is set by the mountains: cloudless dawns, warm afternoons, mist rolling in around 4pm and taking the peaks with it.
