The brief
Most visitors treat Kathmandu as a transit stop on the way to a trek.
The board wanted a campaign that made the valley itself worth three nights — aimed at travellers already holding a Nepal flight.
Three Days in Kathmandu
One clear behavioural ask
Not 'visit Nepal' — 'stay three nights in the valley before you trek'. Every asset repeated that single instruction, which is why the reporting was legible.
The itinerary as the campaign spine
The film sold the idea; the downloadable three-day itinerary made acting on it trivial. Downloads became the campaign's primary KPI instead of views.
Local guides on camera and on payroll
Four Kathmandu-based guides appear in the film and were paid at professional day rates. It's better storytelling, and it's the standard I hold every destination campaign to.
“The itinerary download was the smartest part. It gave us a number we could take to the ministry, not just an impressions screenshot.”
